Dr. Peter Balacky's journey in oral surgery began in New York, where he was born and raised. His passion for the field started during his time at Stony Brook University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine.

After completing a one-year residency in General Practice Dentistry at NYU Langone, Dr. Balacky discovered his true calling in surgery. This led him to undertake a rigorous four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Northwell Health-LIJ. During this time, he gained invaluable experience rotating through various hospitals, including Stony Brook University Hospital and Northshore University Hospital. His comprehensive training covered a wide range of disciplines, from plastic surgery and ENT to general surgery and anesthesiology.

Now a board-certified oral surgeon, Dr. Balacky specializes in dentoalveolar and implant surgery, with particular expertise in full arch implant rehabilitation. He takes great pride in helping patients regain their smiles and confidence, especially those dealing with failing teeth. After practicing in New York for several years, Dr. Balacky fell in love with Southern California and decided to establish his own practice in Los Angeles, taking over from Dr. Kevin Lew.

At Larchmont Village Oral Surgery, Dr. Balacky brings not only his extensive medical expertise but also a deeply personal approach to patient care. He treats each patient as if they were family, offering empathy, compassion, and creating comfortable, lasting relationships. When he’s not transforming smiles, Dr. Balacky enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, boating, and soaking up the California sun at the beach.
